OAN, Inc., was founded in 1989, and incorporated in 1990. It was formed by
a group of concerned Nigerians to develop and execute strategies that would address the concerns of our community. The
founders recognized that there exists:
- The absence of an umbrella organization that was dedicated to Nigerian issues
of any nature. An organization that was
non-ethnic, that embraces Nigerians from all walks of life.
- The absence of a credible Nigerian organization that was dedicated to
enhance the image of Nigerians in the United States, to address the stereotypes
of Nigerians in the American media.
- The absence of a credible Nigerian organization devoted to the formation
of a formidable Nigerian community in the United States.
Today, O.A.N. Inc. continues to embrace innovative strategies and assignments
aimed at bringing all Nigerians together.
We believe that if united, we can effectively address issues impacting our community
and our country. OAN is opened to all Nigerians with high moral
character regardless of ethnic or religious differences. As our motto
