This state was carved out of Benue-Plateau state. The state is famous for its beautiful hills: Goven, Ushango and Bassa Hills. It also has a beautiful Ikure wildlife park at Igbor, the Moitane Game Reserve, Makurdi Zoo, Idoma Palace, and Ofelli Falls. Aunique brand of T\textile is woven in the state.
