Lokoja is famous for having the location of of the confluence of River Niger and River Benue. Locaja has many tourist attractions, among them are several old buildings, used by the Royal Niger Company during colonial era. Royal Nigeri Company had the British Royal charter to administer the area known today as Nigeria. The ste is blessed with suitable climatic conditions. Mineral resources in the state include, Iron ore, gold, coal, columbite, and dolomite, etc. The state is also famous for Okene cloth woven.
